Dell Children's Medical Center now has a "green" wing in the hospital, making it more energy efficient.

A tour conducted at the hospital started out showcasing green construction, but health care is another topic on the minds of many Americans.

"There's some good ideas out there on how to fix this system," U.S. Rep. Michael McCaul said. "It needs to be reformed to where we have every American with access to affordable health care."

Rep. McCaul, R-Austin, also spent time discussing the latest efforts to secure funding for childhood financial research.

Dell Children's Medical Center is the first to receive a platinum certification for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design.
