Wednesday looked like a traffic jam at Baylor University in Waco, but it was students waiting to settle into their new homes on campus.
Freshman, Hugo Hernandez, was excited about his big move to college.
"Yeah," he said laughing as he carried a box into his residence hall.
Lucky for him and other students, it was a fairly easy day of moving, due to 3,000 volunteers.
Director of Campus Recreation Kim Scott led volunteer efforts.
"Our goal for parents is to lighten their physical load but also to lighten their emotional load and say you're important to us and we're going to take care of your kids," she said.
Scott came up with the game plan for the move in.

"We have the running backs who on the field carry the ball and here carry they packages," she said.
Quarterbacks directed traffic and trainers made sure everyone stayed hydrated by passing out bottled water.
With thousands of volunteer students, alumni and others, there was a role for everyone.
"We had a lot of different churches that volunteered. They bring out anywhere from five members to fifty members," Scott said.
It's help Hernandez and his family appreciated and said made the experience a warm welcome.
"They're doing an awesome job here, the whole security people. Everyone's just excited to be here," Hernandez said.
Students were glad to get settled in with ease as they embarked on the next chapter of their lives.
Classes at Baylor start Monday August 24.
