Austin drivers rank second-to-last in the State of Texas when it comes to safe driving.
That's according to the 2009 Allstate America's Best Drivers Report.
Allstate ranks 193 of the nation's largest cities by the frequency of car wrecks.
Austin ranks 179th while Brownsville ranks 23rd.
Researchers also list Austin drivers as about 44 percent more likely to be in a wreck compared to the national average.
