There is a good chance Capital Metro buses will be packed this weekend.
"We'll be carrying thousands of people in addition to the regular route service we provide on the weekends as well," Terry Garcia Crews with StarTran/Capital Metro said.
Capital Metro has set aside 80 buses to shuttle music fans back and forth to Zilker Park for the Austin City Limits Music Festival. Another 32 buses are designated for the longhorns' home game against former Southwest Conference Rivals, the Arkansas Razorbacks.
"We will be running the service as we have advertised and made the commitment to this community," Garcia Crews said.
But that could change. For more than a year Capital Metro's union drivers and mechanics have been trying to agree on a new contract. As of now, no agreement has been reached.
"I could do this or I could do a strike, but I prefer to let people keep working and keep carrying passengers," ATU Local 1091 President, Jay Wyatt said.
In a memo to union members, Wyatt asked them not to work overtime, including this weekend.
"This project is not geared toward this weekend, let's make sure that's understood. This is an ongoing project until we get this contract resolved," Wyatt said.

Capital Metro says they have more than enough staff ready to fill in for anyone not working overtime this weekend.
The union said not working overtime may or may not affect those riding the bus this weekend.
For others, the wait-and-see approach doesn't bode over so well.
"If I don't take a bike, I'll probably walk it. It's the smartest thing to do," Lenny Longoria said.
