The investigation continues into two deaths that happened on a short stretch of roadway in Round Rock.
Shortly after Round Rock police responded to a motorcycle-vehicle collision, a man fell from the Texas 45 flyover, officials said.
At around 4:15 p.m. Thursday, police said a pick-up truck traveling on the northbound frontage road of I-35 at Texas 45 struck and killed a motorcyclist.
Moments later, a person jumped off the flyover onto the frontage road of I-35, near the collision.
Police have confirmed both the motorcyclist and the man who fell from the flyover are dead.
The driver of that motorcycle has been identified as 28-year-old Jason Wendt from Hutto.
Another motorcyclist riding next to the victim said Wendt didn't stop at the red light and broadsided the pick-up.
The incidents resulted in the closure of both sides of the I-35 frontage road at Louis Henna Boulevard and the overpass. The Texas 45 flyover to I-35 north was also shut down.
The investigation into the death of the man who fell has been turned over to the Texas Rangers.
