Austin police are investigating a fatal accident in West Austin on Wednesday that killed a 17-year-old girl.

Brooke Lowe was the front passenger in a 2000 Oldsmobile that was making a U-turn on South Capital of Texas Highway near Westlake Drive. The Oldsmobile was struck while turning by a 2004 green Dodge pickup truck. Lowe was taken to Brackenridge Hospital, where she later died.

Other passengers and the drivers of both vehicles were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
