Two new hotels, in the same building, are now open in Downtown Austin.
Guests were able to check in to the Marriott Courtyard and the Residence Inn Marriott near the Austin Convention Center.
The new inns are part of a big hotel explosion going on downtown.
"Everything is there to build a strong lodging market. All the customers are there. A very different, diverse group of customers, and that's what you want," J.W. Marriott Jr., of Marriott Hotels & Resorts, said.

Hilton recently built a new hotel-condominium property in Downtown Austin and a Hampton Inn recently opened in the same area.
Hotels work together with the expanded convention center to draw more people to Austin, city leaders said.
