Grab your air axe and an extra can of hairspray and head to the Alamo Drafthouse downtown.
On the last Tuesday of every month you can try your luck in an air guitar contest.
The competition is furious. And the performers take their craft seriously.
"Got my roadie. I may be the only contestant. I don't know, this … may be the only contestant that actually is going to attempt a midsolo, midair guitar exchange when I go from the acoustic to the electric part of the song,” contestant Ron Nickell said.
The winner of last night's competition will take the stage again in the Austin Finals in May.
