Several hot air balloons dotted the sky of Lake Travis at dawn on Saturday morning.
The Lake Travis flight is an annual event for the Central Texas Ballooning Association.
The group lifted off around sunrise from Mansfield Dam Park. Pilots said the weather was good for the flight. The weak winds and few clouds were perfect for the balloons.
Hot air ballooning was first launched by Pilatre De Rozier, a scientist in 1783. The passengers were a sheep, a duck and a rooster.
