A dozen hot air balloons took off for a trip over Lake Travis just before sunrise Saturday morning.
The informal rally was put together by the Central Texas Balloon Association and their friends.
The crews said the weather was good for the flight.
The weak winds and few clouds were perfect for the balloons.
The scenery couldn't have been better.

"We'll fly real close to the surface of the lake, maybe touch down on the lake and let the wind push us along," hot air balloonist Joe Reynolds said.
Reynolds said the balloons peak out about 3,000 feet up during the one hour trip.
They had chase boats in the water, just in case, but everything went smoothly.
