A year prison sentence has been handed down to a man who admitted to conspiring to mislead Austin police investigating the 1991 Yogurt Shop murders.
Patric Norris Davidson, 38, was the best friend of Michael Scott.
Scott was found guilty of killing four teenagers during the robbery at the "I Can't Believe It's Yogurt" shop in North Austin. He's currently serving a lifesentence after being convicted in September 2002.
Davidson pleaded guilty in March to telling varying stories to investigators about his role in disposing the gun that Scott may have used in the murders.
It is unclear if he ever received a gun from Scott.
Another man, Robert Springsteen was convicted and sentence to death in the case in 2001.
Last year capital murder charges were dropped against a third person.
