LEANDER Texas fugitive shoots self as officers approach A fugitive wanted for robbing jewelry stores around Austin has taken his own life. Knoxville Police spokesman Darrell DeBusk told The Knoxville News Sentinel that 44-year-old Timothy Liess of Leander, died outside the Extended StayAmerica motel around midnight Monday.
