One Austin High student has turned himself into authorities after firing shots at a vehicle filled with his peers late Monday evening.
According to police reports, it all started with a student throwing acorns at his fellow classmates.
Police said 17-year-old Jay Carbullido was harassing a female student who was waiting on her boyfriend for a ride.
A verbal dispute took place between Carbullido and the girl's boyfriend, who attempted to leave in his car with her and three others when Carbullido opened fire on the vehicle.
"The suspect went to his car, retrieved a .22-caliber rifle from his trunk, and fired, reported last night four to five shots, what we know today is we had nine casing on the ground so nine shots were fired," Lt. Eric Mendez with APD said.

Nine shots fired, six of which hit the car, shattering the driver side window and piercing the vehicle.
"They could hear the shots hitting the car, they could hear the window break, they could hear bullets going by," Mendez said.
No one was injured in the shooting, but police are charging Carbullido with five counts of aggravated assault for each individual in the vehicle.
Many students at Austin High School were shocked to hear of the shooting, but not surprised at the suspects identity.
"When I first heard about the shooting that's the first person I thought it was," a student at Austin High said.
Carbullido turned himself in at the Waterloo Records parking lot on 6th and Lamar in Downtown Austin.
No further charges are expected in the case.
