Four Mobile Veteran Centers were sent to Fort Hood in the wake of the mass shootings Nov. 5.
The centers have seen more than 5,300 people according to the Department of Veterans affairs.
One VA doctor said there are still many people who need to process what happened during the shootings.
To that end, the VA is extending the stay of one of those Vet Centers through Nov. 29.
The center is located at the Super Wal-Mart on Lowes Boulevard. It will be open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., with the exception of Thanksgiving Day.
Appointments are not necessary.
