A Caldwell County inmate is missing.
The Sheriff's Office said Eddie Espinoza Gonzales was working as a trustee in Lockhart State Park when he went missing sometime between 10:30 a.m. and noon Friday.
The Sheriff's office says a jail uniform was found in a workshop, and a green Parks and Wildlife uniform was missing along with a yellow raincoat.
Detectives aren't sure why Gonzalez would make an escape, since he was due to be released in just nine days.
He was serving time for driving with a suspended license and failure to appear in court.
Gonzales has a scar on his left knee and a tattoo of a long stemmed rose on his right arm.
Anyone who has seen him or has any information is asked to call law enforcement.
