The Department of Public Safety is seeking the public’s help in a hit-and-run crash that killed five-year-old Lily Bunker from Kyle.
According to officials, the incident happened at 7:15 a.m. on October 26. Officials said it happened in Caldwell County, at SH 80 near FM 1977.
A preliminary investigation revealed a northbound gravel truck attempted to change lanes and struck another vehicle, forcing it to collide with yet another vehicle in oncoming traffic.
Bunker died from injuries sustained from the incident. Her mother and 7-year-old brother survived.
The gravel truck fled the scene. Troopers have described the vehicle as a white or grey 18-wheeler with bottom or rear dumping capacity.
