One woman died when the home she was sleeping in caught fire early Saturday morning in Gillespie County.
About 1:30 Saturday morning, County officials responded to reports of an explosion on Highway 87 South.
When they arrived, they found a single family home completely engulfed in flames.
People outside said there were others still inside the house.
One woman was found alive inside the home and pulled from the flames. But after the fire, the body of 74-year-old Joan Knorr was found inside the residence.
Three other family members were pulled from the flames and treated at the Hill Country Memorial Hospital.
There is no word yet on what caused the fire.
