Voters voted in favor of a $29-million bond to improve the Belton Independent School District.
The Belton school district wants to build a new middle school to address the problem of overcrowding.
As a result of the bond election, residents will see an estimated tax increase of 5.4 percent per $100 valuation.
The increase won't affect seniors over the age of 65.
A similar bond of nearly $39-million, which included funding for high school athletic facilities, failed in May.
