It was a weekend full of panels, parties and screenings at this year's Austin Film Festival.
For director Ron Howard, the festival was also a time for happy reunions.
Actor Michael Keaton presented Howard with the festival's Extraordinary Contribution to Filmmaking award.
"Well first of all it was really fun to reconnect with Michael Keaton. I hadn't seen him in couple years and so we have been spending some time together, and he gave me the award and was very funny," Howard said.
There was also a special retrospective screening of "Apollo 13" Saturday.

"Howard did a great job with Apollo 13. He took the whole actual flight and really made it a classic," Apollo 13 commander Capt. Jim Lovell said.
Howard said that being in Texas provided the unique opportunity to bring all the people that made "Apollo 13" a hit together again.
