Artists playing this year's Austin Yam Jam fundraiser paid tribute to the late Stephen Bruton.
The renowned singer, songwriter and producer died from cancer in May.
"One of the artists here today, Alejandro Escovedo, was found by Stephen years ago," Richard Bagdonas, with Operation Turkey, said. "He came down and ran into him at a store and said he should make a record, and so that was his first record; and after years and many records later, Alejandro's coming here to play today."
The Yam Jam benefits Operation Turkey, which feeds the homeless during Thanksgiving. For more information, visit AustinYamJam.com.
