Baylor Student Katy Rhodes said she had never heard of the "Tailgater" until game day Saturday.
"It will help a lot probably with the tailgating, with people drinking and that way there won't be drivers on the road that are unsafe. They can just hop on the bus and come down," she said.
Katy's father Mike Rhodes said he would have used the Tailgater shuttle on Saturday if he'd known about it, but he already had his parking pass.
"Parking is limited at the stadium and it's expensive. So you park down here and shuttle for free at the game and get dropped off at the gate. It sounds like a good thing," He said.

Tailgater
As News 8's Bonnie Gonzalez shows us, in addition to making it easier to get to the game, it's helping downtown businesses.

The shuttle makes three stops in the downtown area before traveling four miles to Casey Floyd Stadium to drop people off. Before boarding the bus, some people made an afternoon out of it.
"We stopped and had lunch at a place we probably never would have seen and actually some of shops in the downtown area have caught our attention, so we'll be visiting those again tomorrow," shuttle passenger Heith Dickinson said.
It can attract business before and after the game, explained Leah Stewart, Owner of The Olive Branch Cafe.
"When you come back, Square Bar next door would be open, you could come back here you know, watch a game on TV, get a drink," Stewart said.
Bringing people to the downtown area doesn't just happen on game day. The same type of shuttle connects Baylor and downtown Waco during the week also.
"It's a brand new program that all of us downtown merchants are real supportive of and we're real happy to see the shuttle driving by every day," Amy Bradshaw, owner of Bloom and Bee Swanky Boutique, said.
It's a new service that is proving not only to be a convenience for Baylor Bears fans, but for downtown business owners as well.
Saturday was the launch of the Tailgater. The shuttle will be available for every Baylor home game.
The shuttle connecting students and faculty during the week to downtown started last month.
