The AVIA Austin Triathlon takes place in downtown Austin Monday, so there's some road closures to keep in mind if you plan to get out and about.
This event is actually two triathlons in one. The Olympic distance is a 1,500-meter swim, a 40 kilometer bike ride and a 10-kilometer run. The sprint distance is a 700-meter swim, a 27-kilometer bike ride and a 5-kilometer run.
Expect closures on parts of Congress, South Congress and Cesar Chavez. Those closures begin at 2 a.m. Monday morning, and go until 2 p.m.
