The City of Taylor canceled its boil water notice, and officials say the water is safe for consumption.
An unexpected drop in water pressure in the City of Taylor forced the cities of Taylor, Noack and Thrall to be under a boil water notice Monday into Tuesday.
According to a notice, it was caused by an overnight water main break along Walnut Street, near Robinson Park.
The main break was fixed, but The City of Taylor had to wait to lift the notice pending results of water sample tests.
Areas affected by the boil order included all water customers east of Main Street, from Old Thorndale road, to Old Coupland Road.
