MARLIN, Texas -- A 19-year-old man and 19-year-old woman face capital murder charges in the death of another 19-year-old man found shot several times and dumped beside a rural Central Texas road.
In a statement issued Thursday, the Falls County Sheriff Department said Jesse Lee Whigham and Brittni Poile were arrested Wednesday.
Cap Sudduth's body was found Sunday morning in a rural area just outside Rosebud, about 35 miles southeast of Waco.
Whigham's attorney, Abel Reyna, tells the Waco Tribune-Herald in Thursday's edition that his client is innocent.
He said Sudduth and Whigham both lived in Rosebud and were friends.
