In Travis County’s first H1N1 flu virus-related death, a 49-year-old Pflugerville man has died, according to Austin and Travis County health officials.

As of last Friday, there are 113 confirmed cases of the flu strain, and one probable case in Travis County.

Statewide, there are nearly 3,000 confirmed and probable cases, with 13 deaths.

Health officials urge the public to continue to take precautions, like washing your hands often and coughing into your sleeve.
