Three trees deemed dangerous just outside Barton Springs Pool are coming down Monday.
The original recommendation by a private tree maintenance company was to remove 27 trees from Zilker Park because of safety concerns.
After public outcry and a second opinion, the number was whittled down to three.
The trees coming down are all located inside a playground, which has been closed since April because of the danger posed by the trees.
