When summertime rolls around and kids are out of school, the business of babysitting is booming.
The Red Cross of Central Texas wants to make sure prospective sitters get the needed training.
The group this summer is offering up Babysitter Bootcamp, in which students receive certified babysitting training.
Children learn how to change diapers, treat minor injuries and how to make sure babies are safe in the water. In addition, students will learn CPR and first aid among other babysitting-related tasks.

"I've learned first aid and how to carry the baby the right way," camper Riley Blok said.
At the end of the course, students receive a certificate and a kit full of goodies for babysitting.
The first session of Babysitter Bootcamp runs Wednesday and Thursday this week, but other sessions will be conducted in July and August.
Classes are open for girls and boys ages 11-15.
