EL PASO -- It's been more than two years since a West Texas grand jury indicted two ex-state youth prison officials on charges alleging they sexually abused inmates.
Trial dates have not been set.
Now the Texas Civil Rights Project wants to know what's holding up prosecution of Ray Brookins and John Paul Hernandez.
Both worked the Texas Youth Commission's state school in Pyote.
The civil rights group Thursday sent a letter to Attorney General Greg Abbott saying the alleged victims aren't getting justice.
The April 2007 indictments named Brookins -- the jail's former assistant principal -- and ex-principal Hernandez.
Abbott's office took over after the allegations, laid out in a Texas Rangers report, were made public in 2007.
A local prosecutor was given the report in 2005.
A spokesman for Abbott didn't immediately comment Thursday.
