SATURDAY, JUNE 13

SW Divisional Rock Climbing Competition - Harker Heights
Cheer on the participants of this year’s largest rock climbing competition being held right here in Central Texas. Boulders Sports Climbing Center is hosting the Southwest Divisional Rock Climbing Competition. The fun kicks off at 9 a.m. at 325 Indian Tr. out in Harker Heights.

AARP Community Day – Austin
Austinites of all ages can stop by AARP’s community day to learn about the senior-oriented services available in Austin. There will be vendors and information booths that will offer free health screenings and information on financial security, safeguards against identity theft and more. Stop by St. Louis Catholic Church between 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The church is located at 7601 Burnet Rd.

Rainwater Harvesting – Austin
This free seminar offers great tips on learning how to capture rainwater and lower your monthly water bill. City of Austin representatives will be there to answer your questions while vendors can show you the different options you have. Just stop by Riverplace Country Club at 4207 River Place Blvd. from 10 a.m. to noon.

Windsor Park Community, Bird, Nature & Arts Festival – Austin
Join the Windsor Public Library in celebrating the diversity of the community. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and features discussions and activities related to the wildlife of the Windsor Park Community. Blanco Lavender Festival – Blanco
It’s the 5th annual Blanco Lavender Festival this weekend, and it’s a great time of year to enjoy the beauty of the Texas Hill Country. Events start around 10 a.m. at the Blanco Chamber of Commerce. Austin Handmade Market – Austin

Cove Country Opry – Copperas Cove

bBlessed Entertainment is offering some family-friendly fun. Four comedians will be performing “Men of Christian Comedy,” a funny routine filled with uplifting messages. Zilker Park Summer Pops Concert – Austin

Flag March to Freedom – San Marcos
March in honor of our country’s fallen heroes at the Flag Day celebration this Sunday. Join others at the Hays County Courthouse at 6 p.m. The courthouse is located at 209 Hunter Ridge Rd. in San Marcos.

Live at the Lake Concert – Austin
Sunday will kick off the 3rd annual Live at the Lake Summer Concert Series. The Mother Truckers start playing at 6 p.m. but gates open at 4 p.m. Admission is $5, and tickets can be purchased day-of at the Lakeway Resort and Spa, which is located at 101 Lakeway Dr in Austin.
