Lots of folks got into the swing of the first-ever Reckless Kelly's Celebrity Softball Jam in Round Rock Sunday.
The local band put the event on to entertain, while raising money for some local children's charities.
Organizers estimate 4,000 to 5,000 people showed up to watch some celebs play ball, including News 8's own Jeff Power.
After the game artists including Ray Benson, Cross Canadian Ragweed and Kevin Fowler jammed on stage with Reckless Kelly.
The band's manager said the band didn't expect such a great turnout.
"We really didn't," Reckless Kelly manager Mark Zenow said. "There's so many great music events in Austin every weekend and reckless Kelly wanted to put on a first class event and we're very happy with the turnout and the community supported us and we couldn't be happier."
Money raised at the event will be used to refurbish little league fields around the city of Austin. A donation will also be made to The Miracle League, a sporting league for special needs children.
The band hopes to put on a similar event next year.
