It was official Friday morning that the NBC affiliate KXAN would no longer be available to Time Warner Cable.
But Vice President of Time Warner Cable Public Affairs Stacy Schmitt said that NBC programming is available -- if you have an antenna.
For subscribers with a digital cable box plugged into their TV's auxillary or HDMI input, it could be as simple as plugging an antenna into the available RF/Antenna input on the back of your TV to get your favorite NBC shows back on your TV.
If your TV doesn't have auxillary inputs or you use your TV's internal tuner to watch analog cable, you'll need an "A-B switch" which allows you to switch the RF/Antenna input back and forth between cable and your antenna.
Cable customers can also watch some of the network's more popular shows on NBC.com.
A number of NBC programs are also broadcast on other cable networks on a delayed basis.
"This is an unfortunate situation, and we do ask that they be patient," Schmitt said.

Got antenna?
It may be easier to hook up than you might think.

Time Warner and LIN TV, the parent company of KXAN, are still in talks, Schmitt said.
Time Warner is providing free S-Video cables which can be useful for connecting your computer to your TV to watching online programming from NBC.com.
