The gate to Hili Geck's house was once flanked by three big John McCain signs.
Most others in her neighborhood have Obama signs. Voting records show Geck's precinct is 70 percent Democratic. Still, she's never felt unwelcomed until now.
Geck said she came home Monday to find her signs missing and her tires slashed.
"I'm not scared," she said. "I'm going to put my signs back because I think that's the most important thing we have in America."

For Geck, that "thing" is the freedom of expression. That's why she headed back to the Republican headquarters Thursday to pick up new signs.
"I am a Republican because I like their rugged individualism. You work really hard. You live a really good, honest life. America is there for you to make what you want to make of it," she said.
What Geck makes of America is a place where intimidation doesn't work. She said she'll just close her gate tighter from now on, and she'll speak her voter's voice even louder.
Leaders of the Tarrytown neighborhood group said they haven't heard of any other campaign sign vandalism cases.
A spokesperson for the Texas Republican Party said stealing signs is not uncommon for either party.
