Austin Homicide Detectives are investigating a woman's body found inside a parked car.

Police were called to a condominium complex on Fairfield Drive in North Austin at about 2:45 Wednesday morning.

They said 27-year-old Deysi Gonzalez Hernandez of Mexico was found in the driver's seat with obvious signs of trauma.

Police worry no one will come forward because the incident happened in an area of high immigration population.

"Any information that people can provide would be appreciated," Det. Douglas Rice said. "We're not worried about immigration status or anything like that, we feel that some people may be reluctant to come forward, that is not our concern."

No information about the cause of her death has been released.

Police said there was no damage to the vehicle.

The police are treating the case as a homicide, but they do not have any suspects at this time.
