Austin police arrested a man Friday who, at one time, was charged in the 1991 Yogurt Shop Murders.
Maurice Pierce, 32, was picked up on an outstanding warrant for aggravated assault on a Plano police officer.
Pierce is being held at the Travis County Jail on two separate counts, for the assault and for evading arrest.
His bond totals $120,000.
Pierce was the accused ringleader in the North Austin Yogurt Shop Murders.
He was 16 at the time of the murders.
Pierce spent three years in jail but was released after the District Attorney's Office admitted they didn't have enough evidence to bring him to trial.
Pierce has always maintained his innocence, but District Attorney Ronnie Earle has said he believes Pierce is guilty.
