The Austin High School jazz ensemble is one of fifteen groups headed to New York City.
The ensemble will represent Texas in May at the 13th Annual Essentially Ellington High School Jazz Band Competition and Festival.

If you'd like to help support their efforts, the jazz ensemble is hosting a fundraising benefit concert at 7 p.m., Tuesday night at the Austin High School Performing Arts Center, at 1715 Cesar Chavez St.
The suggested donation is $10 and will be accepted at the door. All proceeds will go toward the upcoming trip.
