Just weeks ago fire destroyed the home of Austin's community radio station, KOOP 91.7.
It forced them off the air, but as of Friday, they're back up and
running thanks to a little help.
"It feels great to be back on the air, I'll tell you what," one KOOP worker said.
Back to bringing tunes, talk and service to the Austin area airwaves.
It's a resurrection of sorts for KOOP radio 91.7
"It's a tremendous day and we're glad to be on the air," Leah Manners with KOOP said.

KOOP radio is back on the air in a new location, after an arson fire destroyed its studios nearly three weeks ago.

It's a sweet return after fire destroyed their studio just 19 days ago.
This is the third time KOOP has lost a studio to fire.
"It was disturbing, you know, especially after the third one, but
immediately our thoughts went to the community," Manner said.
They began looking for ways to get back on the air and found a new beginning thanks to Entercom.
KOOP can use their studio until the old one is rebuilt.
Entercom also houses Majic 95.5, Mix 94.7.
"They gave us space and equipment and made it easy for us
to get on," Len Brown, KOOP DJ said.
The station, powered by volunteers, broadcasts more than 70
shows a week. Once back on the air, they took a moment to thank their loyal listeners.
"Thanks again for all the requests and just saying thanks for
being back on the air and being KOOP. We really appreciate it."
The Austin Fire department ruled arson as the cause of the third
fire, but no one's been arrested.
Right now KOOP is focused on starting over.
"I've been in radio for 5 years and I've never seen the dedication
and the love that the staff and the programmers have for KOOP," Brown said.
It's the kind of dedication, endurance and optimism that's
helped them cope.
Through it all they've kept a promise to return and their spirits
high.
"KOOP is back and the best is yet to come," Brown said.
KOOP radio is a community radio station owned and operated by its members.
The station recently celebrated 13 years on the air.
