ABILENE, Texas -- A 15-year-old boy has been charged with murder in the beating death of a homeless Abilene man.
Abilene police say they're looking for a second suspect.
The boy hasn't not been publicly identified because of his age. Police Sergeant John Reid says he was arrested yesterday and booked into the Taylor County Juvenile Detention Center.
Police are withholding the identity of the 48-year-old victim until relatives can be notified.
Police say the victim was found badly beaten early Saturday in an alley behind a homeless ministry center. Doctors removed him from life support on Sunday.
Witnesses told police that two men in their late teens or early 20s assaulted the victim. Crime Stoppers has offered a $1,000 reward for information leading to arrests in the crime.
