Former Longhorn football player Tyrell Gatewood is out of jail on bond after his second arrest in a month.
Gatewood was arrested late Saturday night for marijuana possession and two counts of possession of a controlled substance.
University police say one Xanax pill and one Imitrex pill were found in his vehicle in addition to the marijuana. Imitrex is taken for migraines and Xanax is taken for anxiety. Gatewood didn't have a prescription for either.
He was released on bond around 2 p.m. Sunday.
Gatewood was suspended indefinitely from the Longhorns on Sept. 13 on possession charges. Police say they found marijuana, Xanax and a bottle of codeine cough syrup on him during a traffic stop.
Gatewood was first arrested for marijuana possession in 2006, but the charges were later dropped.
Head coach Mack Brown had said Gatewood could come back if he straightened out his legal issues.
