A 71-year-old man is behind bars in Travis County, accused of sexual assault two years ago.
Norman Leroy Sharp is being held on $300,000 bond for aggravated sexual assault of a child. He was taken into custody on Aug. 8.
Austin police say he's a suspect in multiple incidents that occurred in 2005. They say he engaged a female into inappropriate conversation and physical contact while in the swimming pool at his house. The two were acquainted.
Aggravated sexual assault is a first degree felony and Sharp faces five to 99 years in prison if convicted.
