Austin police are searching for the man who assaulted an employee and walked out of a Northeast Austin Wal-Mart on Sunday without paying for a TV.
The suspect is seen pushing a cart with the TV in a basket. The video shows a store employee confronting the suspect carrying the box as he tried to leave at about 8 p.m. The employee asked to see a sales receipt.
The man swung the box and struck the 67-year-old employee to the ground. The suspect fled the scene in an SUV with the television.
The Wal-Mart employee suffered minor injuries.
The suspect is African American, approximately six feet tall, with a slender build, looks about 25-30-years-old with short hair.
