Some students at The University of Texas aren't spending their Spring Break having fun or catching up on homework.
Some students boarded this bus to Huntsville Wednesday morning are members of Texas Students Against the Death Penalty.
They're going to protest capital punishment at a scheduled execution. But this is more than just a protest, the trip is part of a program designed to teach the students.
"Some of the workshops we're attending teach us about the problems in the process of capital punishment. And it's good to bring back that knowledge so we can really understand what we're working against," student protestor Jackson Smith said.
Smith is a student from Boisie State University. He joined the UT students on the ride.
