AUSTIN Judge orders Laura Hall to jail, schedules second trial Laura Hall became hysterical in a Travis County district courtroom Monday morning after a judge ordered for her to be taken into custody with no bond until her resentencing trial next month. AUSTIN Laura Hall back in court Monday for sentencing retrial Laura Hall is the woman convicted of tampering with evidence following the 2005 murder of Jennifer Cave. She was sentenced to five years in prison, but an appeals court ruled that prosecutors withheld evidence in her case. She is currently free on bail.
