Special Olympics 2010 Winter Games wraps up the fun

The Special Olympics 2010 Winter Games wrapped up their final day of competition Sunday.
More than 2,500 athletes participated, after spending hours practicing everything from speed skating to power lifting.
Athletes and their parents couldn't be prouder of their accomplishments.
"If think it's going to help him through life with his condition," parent Rigo Reyes said. "I mean, I think it's going help him know how to win no matter if you win or lose, it's doing it, going through it, it's having fun, that's what it's all about."

There were no big awards given out at the ceremony this year. Winners received their recognition after each individual event.
Special Olympics Texas is a privately funded nonprofit organization providing year-round sports training and athletic competition for more than 36,000 Texans.
