Neighborhood to seek injunction in dispute with ONCOR
Last Monday, property owners in Woodway won a temporary injunction against ONCOR, a power company that was cutting down trees to make way for new transmission lines.
Woodway residents will take their case before a judge Monday to ask for a longer injunction while they organize their case against the company.
Some residents said they stand to lose dozens of trees, which means a significant drop in property values.
ONCOR said the transmission lines are being put in at the request of the state. The company also said the trees were being removed in order to provide clearance for the lines and access for vehicles that need to maintain and fix the lines.
