Starting at 8:30 a.m. Monday, crews will begin work on a quarter mile stretch of Waller Creek, from Cesar Chavez to Lady Bird Lake, in the next phase of Operation Reclaim Waller Creek.

Crews will cut down overgrown brush, remove graffiti and pick up trash.

The work will go on all month to help get the area ready for the Waller Creek Tunnel Project, which is supposed to alleviate flooding and reduce the amount of debris in the creek.

If you'd like to join in the cleanup efforts, the crews are meeting at 8:30 a.m. Monday at the parking lot south of Cesar Chavez and west of Red River streets on the west bank of Waller Creek.
