Duck tours are a cool way to learn Austin history
Austin is a city with a lot to see and a lot of history. What better way to take in the sights than hopping aboard a duck?
It's not a real duck of course, but an oversized Jeep that's part of Austin Duck Adventures. These tours give tourists, or anyone who wants to learn more about the city, a fun trip through Downtown Austin.
But it's not all boring facts; the guides on the duck tours always try to keep their guests entertained while they learn a lot about Austin's history.
For example, most residents don't know that the Downtown Austin streets named for Texas' rivers actually mimic the order they flow on the Texas map.

Tidbits like this are what you'll take home, but the highlight for many is the dip in Town Lake. The duck gets its name because it converts into a boat, and brings everyone along for the ride.
What ever you end up doing most, a Duck Adventure is sure to be a quackin' good time for the summer.
