HOUSTON -- For the most part, the two teams played nice. Players from the Denver Broncos and Houston Texans kept their cool despite the humid conditions Wednesday at Reliant Park. The two squads will practice together again Thursday.
Their preseason game is Saturday night.
Most of the time the players were complimenting each other. When Houston receiver Corey Bradford made a one-handed catch with Denver cornerback Lenny Walls draped all over him, Walls acknowledged the spectacular grab.
One player who didn't make the trip to Houston was Denver rookie running back Maurice Clarett, who stayed behind to rehab an injured groin.
Denver receiver Jerry Rice may be on the shelf for the next few days as well. He may not play Saturday night.
Rice is suffering from a heel injury, and the Broncos are taking the cautious approach.
