A team of four swimmers managed to break a national record that was 10 years older than they were.
Thirteen-year-olds Conor Sweeney, Matthew Ellis, David Cox and Eric Darvin were all part of the Longhorn Aquatics team, and they beat the national time for the 800-meter freestyle relay.
"You just gotta look at how old that previous record was and you'll know how big it is. That's pretty special," Olympic swimmer Neil Walker said.
Pretty special is the perfect way to describe these young swimmers. At such a young age they're learning dedication and persistence, something that's guaranteed to pay off in the future.

"They have the potential of being possible Olympians. We'll take it one step at a time, but we try to set our expectations pretty high," Walker said.
"We've got a meet in Houston this week, so we're going to see if we can break another record there," Cox said.
"My goal is to go to the Olympic trials and try to get a gold medal," Darvin said.
