This Halloween work off the inevitable sweets you're going to eat with a 5k. The inaugural Trick or Trot Halloween 5k will be held at 9am at the Austin State School. Registration will be available at RunTex Riverside for $25 on Friday, October 30 during packet pick-up. You can also register on site before 9am.

This week you also have the opportunity to learn more about the Engine 2 Diet. Wednesday night the author, Rip Esselstyn, will host a pot luck dinner at Whole Foods Market on Lamar. Meet Esselstyn and learn more about his plant based diet at 5:30. Bring a plant based dish to the 2nd floor outdoor plaza at Whole Foods on 5th and Lamar.
