The 15th running of the 3M Half Marathon turned out to be the fastest. At least for the winner.
Martin Fagan, who trains in Arizona, but is from Ireland, finished in a record time of 1:01:05, eclipsing the old mark by ten seconds. The record breaking run earns him $1,500 for first place and an additional $500 for breaking the old mark.

Cold temperatures at the start did not deter 5,600 runners from racing in this year's race. The course began in Northwest Austin and worked its way gradually toward downtown Austin, finishing just south of the University of Texas campus on Trinity Street.
